René Girard’s critique of humanism

In René Girard’s work there are a lot of critics to the humanism and the humanists. First of all, in this article we will deal with a definition of this concept and his historiographic problem. There is a big contrast between the topics and ideals of the humanism and the mimetic theory. We study the explicit Girard’s critics to the humanists and finally we present one perspective that allows to consider himself like a humanist thinker.
