Reinhart Koselleck’s Historik, following german classic hermeneutics, represents an important philosophical attempt in formalizing the trascendental categories for historical experience of time. The article focuses on Koselleck’s attemp and try to demonstrate that, referring to Kant’s philosophy of history and as Michel Foucault did, Koselleck assumes, in a circular way, the formal criteria for his Historik from the experience of temporalization and acceleration of history which mark modernity as an epoch.
