The defining feature of the event that we call «Greece» is viewed through two meeting ways: the excellent Greek saying (especially the Homeric epos) and the polis-project. We conclude that both of them are marked by the attempt of recognizing what is always took for granted. The fact that the polis perish on account of what she is confronts us with the gravity of this attempt.
