Abstract

This article is not an exposition of F. C. S. Schiller’s thought, but an invitation. I think we can obtain several good thinks from Schiller’s work. And one of those thinks is the recovery of our past. Schiller is a European thinker developing a philosophical view very close to Pragmatism. That mean —in my opinion— that Pragmatism has —undoubtedly— an American taste, but so it is a mirror of Western worries about Philosophy in the beginning of Modernity.
