Communism and reflection on history in the work of K. Marx

This article concentrates on two moments of Marx’s oeuvre: the articles and work of 1843 and 1844, centered around the German-French Annals, and the analyses of the French civil war and the Paris Commune. They show the anti-idealist and anti-utopian character of Marx’s thought, and especially of his idea of communism, the relations between philosophy’s overcoming and the abolition of the proletariat, his adjustment to the contemporary reality as the essential starting point for its understanding and transformation, and his clairvoyance about the centrality of science in the productive process, and about the collective character of this process in developed capitalism.
