Resumen


¿Existen condiciones bajo las cuales se justifique ocultar o manipular deliberadamente la expresión de nuestras opiniones, emociones o rasgos del carácter frente a otras personas? Este trabajo explora la respuesta que ofrece David Hume, mediante la discusión de lo que este autor denomina buenas maneras e impudencia. la conclusión es que, a partir de su descripción del punto de vista moral, es posible extraer dos condiciones que permiten establecer cuándo prácticas de opacidad como las buenas maneras o la impudencia son moralmente justificables o reprochables.
