This article proposes a reading of the philosophy of Maurice Blanchot community from his Écrits politiques. The tension between living documents (leaflets, letters, projects) written by Blanchot especially in the “Mays” of 58 and 68 and the philosophical elaboration of the notion of community in 83, shed new light on the need and terms of an update of the communist demands. The hypothesis of this paper is that the concept of community canceled the possibility of revolutionary rupture which started the thought of Blanchot and redirects to a “communism of thought”, which has ethical and literary roots. Finally, it outlines outlines the keys to go further towards a common world policy.
