Lo que ocultan las representaciones sísmicas de la pandemia de COVID-19: una crítica de la ontología dualista desde la perspectiva de la teoría crítica

Resumen

El propósito de este texto consiste en analizar, desde el enfoque de la teoría crítica, cómo la hegemónica ontología dualista se articula en el discurso dominante durante la pandemia de COVID-19. La tesis defendida sostiene que las imágenes sísmicas empleadas para representar la pandemia reflejan y refuerzan la persistente visión dualista del mundo. Se postula que el dualismo que establece una dicotomía entre naturaleza y humanidad funciona en complicidad con la perpetuación de sociedades fundamentadas en la explotación. Por tanto, se vuelve imperativo interrumpir este tipo de narrativas que entorpecen las transformaciones emancipatorias necesarias para lograr una sociedad exenta de explotación.
